Evil Queen Gets a Day Job

 

This range is all about the Evil Queen. She has been knocked off her throne and now needs to find a day job. So work jackets, skirts, pants and tops that she can wear in the work space but have her own personality come through. So high power shoulders, strong lines and embellishments that mean she will do anything she can to stay on top.

The embellishments we sourced for this range are really different and inspiring. Plastic cast skulls, beetle wings, feathers and spikes/ studs. We especially love the skulls. We found them on the etsy site from a little boutique called Skullery. She takes a real animal skull, makes a cast and then pours in plastic to make the numerous amounts of skulls we have sourced and she sells. She can do any skulls she can get her hands on and in the future we will look at using another type of skull for a new range. The beetle wings are real and sourced from Thailand from a family who make this their living. We believe in helping the little man out and source most of our products from smaller manufactures, which may mean we cannot always get stock but we can always swap in another item from them or try something new.

The construction in this range is one of tailoring and fit. With pencil skirts, panelled jackets, fitted bodices and peplum tops. The jackets are all lined and the outer shells are reinforced with interfacing and the shoulders wadded up, to stand up high. The skulls are removable so that the garments can be dry cleaned.

All of the fabrics used are of the highest quality and most are sourced from wholesalers in Australia and the garments are made right here in Australia as well.
